wanted to know if I can mix a pioneer 12 inch subwoofer (1000w rms)that is rated between 15 and 150Hz and a 12 inch Rockford Fosgate subwoofer (400 rms) rated between 25 and 250 hz connected to A 1000 what RMS amplifier crossover at 120 Hertz both dvc parallel @2ohms. They are both in separate vented boxes In 98 infinity I 30.
my reasoning behind this is that the Pioneerpplays very low range frequencies and the Rockford Fosgate plays higher frequencies and that they might combine to make a complete lower bass combination..
A frankensetup, it won't blow nothing, if you like it you're good to go, is it the better way to go? not at all. Most likely your sub(s) is/are working in improperly designed boxes.
