New member Username: ZonnPost Number: 1 Registered: Aug-13 | So I replaced my head unit with a Pioneer MVH-350BT and the door speakers for Pioneer TS-G1721i 17cm, the door speakers werereduced from 45 to 25, so they were pretty cheap, but since installing them, i've noticed there is NO low bass, I know they're only door speakers, but all it seems to pick up when turned up is a sharp/too punchy sounding kick drum, even my old speakers picked up the deep sub bass and it sounded quite clean, but these new ones, are a lot louder but the bass quality sucks, all the reviews said they were really good, I tried EQing it but nothings working :\} |
Platinum Member Username: GlasswolfColumbia, South Carolina America Post Number: 14884 Registered: Dec-03 | firstly, wrong forum for this thread. that aside, if you want those speakers to sound better, get a dedicated external amplifier to drive them, even if it's only rated at say, 25 watts RMS per channel, it will be a vast improvement. head units can only supply about 12 watts per channel RMS with their chip-driven amplifier lacking a transformer. If you still want more low end, consider adding a self-amplified subwoofer. |
