93 Toyota CD controller and Xplode CDX 757 changer

The 6 disk Panasonic (CS-CS0110FA) changer is DOA. This unit was mounted in the trunk and has a in-dash factory controller. If I replace the unit with a Sony 10 disk changer, can I maintain the factory control with an adapter or do I need to replace the Toyota controller with a unit designed specifically for the changer? The CD controller is a Toyota 74805.

Your Panasonic CX-CS0110FA has been discontinued. The good news is two fold. Any Toyota CD player from 1990-1997 is directly compatible with your unit. If you are interested in a new unit,the Panasonic CX-DP880U is still available and is compatible with your controller. The CD changer (12 pin connector) end has a different configuration so you will need to replace the wire with the one provided. If you don't want to pull wire a cd changer adapter is available from Panasonic. I hope this help you.
