The original radio was faulty and I bought a 2nd hand unit from the breakers. The radio plays but has a continuous beeping through the front speakers. I have been told that the ECU reads the saved VIN Number off the head unit and needs to be reprogrammed by the dealer or someone with appropriate diagnostic equipment. What are your symptoms? DOes it ask for a code? Does anyone know of an alternate way of getting around this problem other than the dealerships?

This stopped the beeping and all fixed and working! If you have any diagnostic computer, let me know and I'll let you know where to aim!

Now if you are willing to spend $60-70 on a real head unit you wouldn't believe how better it will sound.
