I have decided to lay 2 runs of 1/0 cable inside the side panels (1 for pos. 1 for neg) under the deadener hidden. I will put expanding foam in the large gaps, but am shopping around for the best sound deadener material for floor, panels, hatch, and especially the roof. I do not want it getting hot and coming unstuck within a couple of years, so what brands are best? The ones I'm looking into are: Fat Mat, Edead, second skin, and b-quiet. I am leaning towards Fat Mat, but wanted u peep's input. Also, are there cheaper alternatives that work? Such as that nifty spray-on rubber sealant? or the brush-on rubber deadener (sludge), or spray-on rubberized truck bed liner? I will be putting my solo-x 18" in the hatch. prolly sealed bcuz the space available = 8 gross cubes max (subtract wood and displacement). on 1200 wrms initially (will address electrical later) Any input is appreciated, thanks |
