picked up a few type rs for my wifes car mazda 6 jbl 1400 1 amp gonna go 4cubes tuned to 30 hz or 5 tuned to 35hz but these new rs are smaller and dont need that much airspace so im thinking 4 cubes tuned at 30 whatcha think?
36width 25.5 deep 13.5 hgt 4inch wide port 12inches long 5 cubes to 30 hz any input thanks guys i listen to rap jazz all types of music i have built many systems in the pass but have never played with the type rs i was just wondering if anyone had personal expierence with them and what would work with them i am not a noob by any means i just wanted to see what works with the rs and what doesnt i have played with the re se12s sex12s sx12s sr12s rockford p3s12s qpower deluxe12s the mofos diamond d6s ,image dynamics idq 12,(abig letdown may i add) DD 500 series dd2512,dd3512, VR3 12s (the best woofer that i have been given the pleasure to review that and the pyle blue wave best subs hands down, i have also played with the new audiopipe txxbf12s and to say the least i was impressed they were just as strong as the sx and 3512s and the surround is not an issue owned for a year and beat the hell out of them ran a pair on a us amps md3d. so anybody looking for cheap bump look at the apipe txxxbf12s incrediable subs for the money in any event would love to hear peoples expierence with the type r 12s new version(600wrms 20 xmax)
i built a box a few years ago for 2 type r 12s on a 1200w audioque amp. the box was 4 cubes i think and def tuned to 36 hz.. sounded great to me. had a nice range and hit the lows decently but sounded really clean
