Silver Member Username: Dloco486Post Number: 238 Registered: Apr-11 | thats good the wife doesnt like loud |
Silver Member Username: Dloco486Post Number: 239 Registered: Apr-11 | well online car stereo said they were out of the diamond d1's but they could replace it with a http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/p_28010_Rockford_Fosgate_R2D2-12.aspx does anybody know if this is a decent sq sub? it will be hooked to rf200.2 amp. |
Gold Member Username: Joe1234Post Number: 1287 Registered: May-09 | RF subs are loud subs, I wouldn't say SQ, look for some Infinity,Polk, BA, JL Audio maybe MB quart on the price range for that. |

Post Number: 3802 Registered: May-04 | For the wifey's car why not try this http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=269-086 Thats a pretty good deal. T3 went out of buisness but Ive heard good things about their products. Plus you cant beat that for only 35 bucks. They have the next model up for $45 I think. Once those are gone, they're gone though. |
Silver Member Username: Dloco486Post Number: 241 Registered: Apr-11 | @ rovin that is the sub the guy at online car stereo said it was a good sq sub. i ended up ordering it if she dont like it i'm sure i could sell it to some teenager around here and get what i payed for it lol. |
Silver Member Username: Dloco486Post Number: 242 Registered: Apr-11 | if its amps x volts x .8 that brutus will push 1344watts @12volts. amp has 2 70 amp fuses. |
Gold Member Username: Joe1234Post Number: 1298 Registered: May-09 | Your amp will deliver 1200W@14.4 volt. And it's cea 2006 certified so it will be nearly that. About 1050W @12.5V At 1200W it will take from your electrical system 1200/0.85 = 1411W If the current goes up to 140A for like about sec fuses will blow. |
Silver Member Username: Dloco486Post Number: 244 Registered: Apr-11 | The amp is really heavy makes me worried to mount to my back seat and ive heard mounting amps to sub boxes will damage amp from vibration. definitely wont have room to mount it on floor of hatch back. any suggestions? |
Gold Member Username: Joe1234Post Number: 1303 Registered: May-09 | If the box has excellent bracing an you install the amp on some damping material probably it would be less of an issue, but yes there is some risk to some amps overtime. |
Silver Member Username: Dloco486Post Number: 245 Registered: Apr-11 | would it be ok if i mounted the amp to a boared and placed it between the back seat and sub box? |
Gold Member Username: Joe1234Post Number: 1316 Registered: May-09 | As long as everything is firmly mounted I guess that there would be no problem. |
Silver Member Username: Dloco486Post Number: 246 Registered: Apr-11 | what kinda dampining material are u talking about? |
