The MRP-Mxxx series amplifiers have a long history of overheating so not recommended, other series from Alpine, OK, the CM1000 is class AB cleaner sounding whether you can tell or not, efficiency is not as good as class D but that is not a problem below 1000W, anyhow you have hundreds of amps to choose from so keep your options open.
i was thinking on the dd amp cuz i was planning on getting 2 dd1012's and that was what dd recomended to use. is a 90 amp alternator big enough to power a 1000 watt amp
The DD amp being a class AB is not as efficient but I think it would still be safe to operate, I guess that most people would use the AQ 1200d in this case though, it will deliver more power taking up the same.
yea i was keeping that amp in mind as well also hifonics brutus brz1200d when the guy at dd told me the amp was class ab and seeing how i could save quite a bit if i bought the brutus because it's like 150-175$ shipped new.those dd1012's would be able to handle 600 watts constant right?
