Distribution Block and Fuse

Micah K Bronze Member Username: Mkeets Post Number: 31 Registered: Oct-11	Posted on Monday, January 16, 2012 - 23:58 GMT Not sure if this goes here but I'm going to be using a run of 0 gauge to a distribution block which will split into 4 4/8 gauge outputs for my amps. My question is do I have to fuse before AND after the distribution block?

The fuse near the battery is still a must.

joe durkham Gold Member Username: Joe1234 Post Number: 1158 Registered: May-09	Posted on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 - 09:53 GMT Not after but at the distribution block: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_17749_Stinger-SPD5623.html It is not stricktly necessary to do it but since the fuse at the battery needs to take the load of all of your system if one amp shorts it will take longer to blow the fuse and the damage to the amp in question can get much worse. In that fused distribution block you just place the proper rated fuse to the amp that line is going.
