Again I found both of these for the same price. Which is the better of the two. Which every i pick, will be powered by a hifonics brutus 1700 amp.

The hcd315 is more like a SPL sub.

aq will get louder and take twice it's rated power.

w7 will sound better.

What type of music do you listen to mostly? Both subs are very good. The choice is now up to you. JL W7 will sound good for sure and the AQ will be loud for sure. It just depends on what YOU are looking for.

I've never been impressed with the W7, even in the HO Box. I've heard several in several different installs and always walked away disappointed. I tried to like it but couldn't. The SQ was solid but the output was just lacking.
