I imagine they have been out of the car audio game for some time, but I have just found a used (but in working mint condition) DCA-400 for $20. Anyone think this would be a good buy? I would probably just install it in my wife's car to power the front speakers. |

Mono : 60 W ( 1 kHz/4 ohms, 1 % T.H.D.) Not a SQ amp it seems and It's low power but for $20 would make a good weekend project. And those old school amps were usually underrated in every respect. That amp sold for $61 on ebay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Denon-DCA-400-MOSFET-Stereo-Power-Amp-2-Amps-Included- Professional-Quality-N-R-/280736250740 |

The speakers in my wife's car are just running off the JVC head unit, so I think this will be a good cheap upgrade. |

Bronze Member Username: WandaddyNaha, Okinawa Japan Post Number: 87 Registered: May-10 | Just picked it up for $15. It works great and sounds pretty good too. I just need to order a wiring kit for my wife's car and it will be good to go! |

Bronze Member Username: WandaddyNaha, Okinawa Japan Post Number: 89 Registered: May-10 | I will have to keep an eye out for one of those Nakamichi amps. I'm not sure where I could find an older one over here though. I found a Rockford Fosgate 10 gauge wiring kit for $14.99 (http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_2111_Rockford-Fosgate-CP10PI.html) but they are out of stock. I'm just gonna wait for them to restock it because that is a pretty good price for a kit w/ the RCA cable included. |
