I plan on putting a little bit more serious of a system in it than what I currently have in my car here in Japan. I will probably be going with some Focal Polyglass or Rainbow(if my budget allows) components. I have heard nothing but great things about Sundown from everyone on this forum, so I have been been considering getting a SAX-125.2 to power whatever components I choose to get. Anyone else have any other suggestions (under $300) for a SQ amp to power a pair of components? I currently have a PDX-5, but i want something with a little more power and I want a dedicated amp for the highs and subs later as well. |

For Amps Sundown makes some thunderous class D amplifiers but it's not really a SQ brand, if you want SQ amps, you can go for used old school amps some could be Zapco, early Nakamichi, PPI art, a/d/s, LP and McIntosh of couse, newer SQ amps are Audison, Arc Audio, Eclipse, DLS are all great and even new Phoenix Gold to a lesser extent. |

I have found an Eclipse XA2000 (100W RMS x2 @ 4ohms) on Ebay and Amazon for around $160 that seems like it would suit my needs. Anyone have any experience with Eclipse amps? |

Some companies such as Rotel have been trying to market full range class D amps but without much success. |

Higher end Focal amp$ have much better specs but I wont lie, I have never heard them, at 700-800 you may be able to get some nice McIntosh instead. |
