Not a big fan of soundstream. owned by directed. |
Bronze Member Username: RubbersdownTucson, Az Usa Post Number: 19 Registered: Jul-04 | So do you think itd be best to go with the mtx 1501D? If my subs rms is 600 and the max is 1800, this mtx amp puts out 750x1 rms at 4 ohms, and the max would be around the 1500 right? running this at 4 ohms would be better SQ then running it at 2 ohms anyways right? and running it at 4 ohms I should still have no problems pushing my 2 subs right? |

The JBL 1200.1 will give the ideal power, and the MTX will have more power than needed, but will be fine as long as you're careful not to overdrive the subs. Look at the 2 ohm rating of the amp, not the 4 ohm, since you have 2 2 ohm DVC subs. 4 ohm would be ideal, but can't be done with your subs unless you only run one. |
Bronze Member Username: RubbersdownTucson, Az Usa Post Number: 21 Registered: Jul-04 | I cant run TWO 2ohm dvc subs at 4ohms? well if that is the case, what amp is the best out of those? |
Silver Member Username: JayjLouisiana USA Post Number: 391 Registered: May-04 | Look for a TWO channel. |
Bronze Member Username: RubbersdownTucson, Az Usa Post Number: 23 Registered: Jul-04 | JayJ Then what about the soundstream vga1600 van gough? |
Silver Member Username: JayjLouisiana USA Post Number: 393 Registered: May-04 | Cody if your subs are 600 watts RMS each then you need a 1200 watt RMS amp NOT a 1600. Look around for a 2 channel 1200 watt amp. Also you can look at a SoundStream 1000/1 it will push your subs good. Heres a website where you can get it pretty cheap. http://www.acaraudio.com/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=26&products_id=452 |
