Gold Member Username: GlasswolfNorthWest, Michigan USA Post Number: 4178 Registered: Dec-03 | mack, he's welcome to go with whatever he wants, but he asked for opinions. he's going to get them. the large box extends low end extension, which simply means the subs are poorly designed and need large amounts of power and large enclosures to reach those lower frewquencies without rolling off to inaudible levels. Nothing personal, I'm just pointing out the actual 'physics' behind why they need a large box. Any sub placed in a large box (within reason) will give better low end extension. While I was serious about not buying audiobahn, I was trying to inject a little humor along with the view. I certainly didn't mean it to disparage the person asking. by the way that link didn't work. which subs are they and for how much? |
