alright.. I have a 99 integra and i have all factory speakers... in the front i have a 6.5 component set (6.5 speaker and 1" tweeter)... and in the back i have 6.5 speaker.... i'm new to this stuff... but i'm guessing the woofer is in front and midrange is in back.... now my question is... if I got the JL XR653-CS... could i put the 6.5 woofers in the front... and the 4" midranges in the back??? do you think this setup would work??? any help is greatly appreciated... i want to make sure i buy the right stuff... thank you

Those mounts are the infamous Honda hell, accommodating only 2" in depth. Those JLs are almost 3 1/4" deep, so no way those will work. You'll need to look for specifically shallow speakers to fit. See the "speakers for prelude" thread further down this board for more information and recommendations.

Regarding the layout, you want as much of the sound as possible in the front, and definitely not 4" mids in the back. Keep the "highs" as forward as possible.

That other thread contains a boatload of info and some recommendations that will be appropriate for your setup.
