Gold Member Username: DrsmithMontana USA Post Number: 2697 Registered: Nov-04 | Looking to spend $200 or less, use my ipod, and use the ipod to control the song choice. The truck I bought came without the stock radio, I have a Pioneer 860mp that I bought several years ago. Just looking to see if there was anything else I should consider. Or if anyone knew where to find the ipod adapter |

Gold Member Username: DrsmithMontana USA Post Number: 2698 Registered: Nov-04 | Thanks for the recommendations. Does anyone know how to check which ipod cable I'd need if I decide to use my current HU? |
Silver Member Username: Joe1234Post Number: 182 Registered: May-09 | You can not digitally connect the ipod to an old head unit, you may make an analog connection but you will have to control the ipod with its own interface. |
Gold Member Username: DrsmithMontana USA Post Number: 2699 Registered: Nov-04 | I understand that. I already own the HU though, and $200 > $15 for the cable if I can find it. I'm just weighing my options right now. |
Gold Member Username: KaerfplSpencerport, NY USA Post Number: 1288 Registered: Jun-06 | The pioneer deh-860mp that you have now is a great deck, and I can understand why you'd rather just find a cable for the ipod rather than purchase a whole new deck. I did some research on it this morning, and I know there is a very specific cable that needs to be used. I'll do some more searching tonight to see if I can find one. |

Gold Member Username: KaerfplSpencerport, NY USA Post Number: 1290 Registered: Jun-06 | Alright, I was able to find the specific cable you need. The model is CD-IB100. You can find it here at the Pioneer website, but just don't look at the price: http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/Accessories/iPod-and-iPhone-Cables/CD -IB100 I was able to find one used on Ebay for $50.00. Gold Member Username: DrsmithMontana USA Post Number: 2702 Registered: Nov-04 | I may just buy a new one and attempt to sell the Premier since I can't get a harness for it for a month. I wonder if they still are worth anything... |
Gold Member Username: KaerfplSpencerport, NY USA Post Number: 1328 Registered: Jun-06 | What condition is it in? I would buy it off you. |
Gold Member Username: DrsmithMontana USA Post Number: 2704 Registered: Nov-04 | Close to flawless I'd expect. I bought it refurbished and never had an issued. I only had it in my tahoe for a few months before selling the car and putting the HU in my closet. It's sat there until a week ago when my Mom mailed it to me. The only issue is I think I lost the remote. |
Silver Member Username: Joe1234Post Number: 246 Registered: May-09 | If its in good physical condition I would start an auction at $90. That HU along a few others of their time were among the very best Pioneer ever had to offer and maybe ever will, considering today's trends. |

Gold Member Username: DrsmithMontana USA Post Number: 2706 Registered: Nov-04 | going to be getting* damn it |
Silver Member Username: Joe1234Post Number: 253 Registered: May-09 | The 6300UB does all you need, it does not have the cute graphical display or the 3 set of pre-outs, if you can do without those then go for it. By the way if you need to edit your post just click the icon on the upper left corner of that post. |

I'm pretty sure the only thing it doesn't have is the wiring kit. Which I've already posted since that's the reason I didn't use it haha. As for price, I don't know $100 shipped? |
Gold Member Username: KaerfplSpencerport, NY USA Post Number: 1352 Registered: Jun-06 | Did you e-mail me at all? I haven't received any messages from you about the Deck. |
Gold Member Username: DrsmithMontana USA Post Number: 2710 Registered: Nov-04 | Sent. Sorry about the wait, I was in Florida for a wedding. Last week was brutal. With the remote though, I think it's at my parents. I'm almost sure I've seen it there. Let me know if you want any more. I'll snap a few more when I get from work. Those were just taken with my blackberry since I can't find the real camera. |
