Reg Rooster can you generate another code then 8398 becouse this one does not work, i've try'd it 4 times now and the screen say's 6 safe now so i have 6 more try's and the code does not work, what do i do help me pls!!!

You have been given the correct code = 8398
Check your Serial Number again
If the Serial Number is correct , then your radio may have been recoded to a new number
Great forum..glad that these do exist... Had Tranny replaced in A4 and for the first time..concert radio is in safe mode..can someone help...ive always kept the car running when I changed batteries (not recommended <span class="ib sp happy"></span> )but this time i couldn't..

Hello again! Thank you Reg Rooster, unfortunately the code you provide can't be used by me. Display says "ERROR"... My brother bought Renault Laguna 2002. And he's got the same problem with radio code. There is no "ERROR" on Laguna's display, but we don't know the code. Please, help! And what to do with megane-radio? It says "ERROR" allways.

and on some it's hold 5 to store.
and for you error leave it turned on until it resets itself can take few hours. note the radio does not lockout after a wrong code entry it only doubles the time to wait before the next retry...if a wrong code is entered it will display error then after the delay should display "0000")

This is found on a label on the metal casing in the format TOA123 or TA123 or just A123 at the end of a barcode

I was almost ready to remove the security IC and do an EEPROM dump to get the code. Glad it didn't come to that. Building a PONY reader sounded fun/annoying...but leaning more towards annoying because of all the parts and the time. When you want your radio working, you want it now!
