Hey guys. Im new here n im from the UK, this site seems to have alot of information about car audio. Me n my bro just got an Alpine 9812RB cos its the last Alpine unit to have DAB radio. Now we're lookin for subwoofers: either 1 JL 12"/13" W7 or 2 Kicker Solobaric 12" L7s with a Kicker amp. My bro thinks the JL will be better, but better than 2 solobarics? need ur help! (also some suggestions for amps for both setups)
You'll get mixed opinions on this for sure, kickers will be loud, realy loud, but the JL w7 will also be very loud and from what i hear will have a little more SQ then the 2 kickers. I personally have 2 Kicker L5's so my responce is swayed towards kicker. Depends what your looking for, SQ or SPL.
right now i am running two kicker L7 10s, and i also know a kid that is running a JL 12W7 and i have a 95 camaro he has a 98 firebird so the vehicles are basically the same and mine is noticeably louder
