Thursday, July 15, 2004 - 21:05 GMT I'm thinking about getting subs for my SUV, a Ford Explorer, but Im having trouble deciding which ones to get. What's better, 2 12" Alpine type R's or a single JL audio w6v2? and what amp should I be using for the subs?

Thursday, July 15, 2004 - 21:34 GMT From their manufacturers website it says the Alpines have a 300W RMS, and the JL Audio W6v2 have a power handling (continuous) of 400W.. What does all that mean??

Thursday, July 15, 2004 - 21:41 GMT dont pay any attention to max power handling, rms is what a sub can continuously handle without having as much of a chance of blowing it.
