i've heard the 6.5 version of those 6x9's and they sounded really good. clean crisp highs and mids. i think those 6x9's are going to sound nice.

Is there any specific reason why you are looking into a shallow mount subwoofer? And what is the size of the enclosure you have?

i just like the idea of still having a good amount of trunk space as i usually find myself having to put stuff back there alot..

and i couldnt find the size of the enclosure.. but here is a link to the sub + enclosure my brother had
http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/Subwoofers/Shallow+Mount/TS-SWX310 (im using his old enclosure with a newer better sub)

Alright jordan reece. Here is my breakdown of everything you listed:

The Pioneer AVH-P2300DVD Deck is a good choice. It has a clear picture, and a great Equalizer. Really the only downside is the 2 Volt Preamp Voltage that it puts out.

The Pioneer TS-A6974R Speakers arn't that bad for the price, however if you want good quality 6x9 Speakers from Pioneer, I would suggest looking into the Pioneer TS-D6902R instead.

I personally had the Pioneer TS-A878 Speakers at one time and they were pretty nice. I would like to advise you that they really can't take a lot of power. I would suggest just simply running them off of your Deck instead of amplifiying them.

The Subwoofer and Amplifier you picked are good matches for eachother for what they are. Just make sure you get the SVC 2 Ohm version of the Subwoofer.

As far as the enclosure that you have, I really can't find any specs on it's size, however it can only hold slim-fit subwoofers anyway.

Overall, Everything looks good, but in my opinion, I would personally not go with the Pioneer Amplifier and Subwoofer. There are better things out there for the money, but since you are getting them 50% off, I say go for it.
