Tuesday, July 13, 2004 - 22:19 GMT Has anyone had trouble with a Optima Yellow Top (light grey body) Deep Cycle battery in a Honda (CRV). I am going to upgrade but i know Glasswolf said that they work for some cars and not for others. Would i have any problems or should i buy a red top (starter)?

Tuesday, July 13, 2004 - 23:42 GMT you should be ok with the yellow top but they work ideally isolated with a red top of high CCA battery for starting

Tuesday, July 13, 2004 - 23:48 GMT Well i was only planning on spending the $130 for the Deep cycle, I am short on cash for two batterys. So do you think it would be ok for the yellow or should i just by a red top. I dont want my car to die- especally in the desert.

Tuesday, August 10, 2004 - 20:06 GMT I had a red top in my 99 S10, and was very happy with it. So if the yellow doesn't pan out, go ahead the red top and I am sure you will be happy.
