Anyone had trouble w/ this

I am going to upgrade but i know Glasswolf said that they work for some cars and not for others. Would i have any problems or should i buy a red top (starter)?

So do you think it would be ok for the yellow or should i just by a red top. I dont want my car to die- especally in the desert.
