Sub makes a THUMP when i start my truck....is this bad, please help!!!!

ok..i have an L7 12 and a JBL bp600.1.

every time i start the truck the sub makes a THUMP, is this a bad thing, it even happens when the HU is in standby mode...

it also makes a THUMP when i change CD's,

and when i pause the CD the sub still moves a little, you cant really see it moving but if you touch the cone you can feel it moving.

help me out here!!! What can i do???

that'd be caused by your amp turning on and off. when you eject the CD i'm guessing your CD player's remote wire shuts off and therefore turns off the amp. If the amp doesn't advertise "soft on/off" or something similar, it may "thump" like yours is.
