I wanna know if I have a Boss K680 amp Max power, 2 ohms 700w x 2 RMS power, 4 ohms 250w x 2 Bridged power 1400w x 1 Signal-to-noise ratio >105 dB THD 0.01% if I will blow a MTX4515A its a 15" 4500 series 4 ohm in a sledgehammer box So well I want to know if I will Blow up the sub or what?? cause I will be Bridging my amp. the guy at the store had a jl e1800d running to it and it pounded hella loud and the specs to that are 480 W RMS x 1 @ 4 ohm (12.5V); 800 W RMS x 1 @ 2 ohm (12.5V) THD at Rated Power: <0.08% @ 4 ohm (20 Hz -25 kHz) S/N Ratio: >95 dB referred to rated power (A-weighted, 20 Hz -- 20 kHz noise bandwidth) Frequency Response: 10 Hz -- 25 kHz (+0, -1dB) someone please help me to tell me if this will work or if I will blow stuff. Because at the MTX site it said it can only handle 250 rms and i read on another site that it can handle anywhere from 150-600....so idk..someone please help
Why would you want to run 1400w to a sub that can handle max of 600(see below)? Also, why did you list max power only at 2 ohms and RMS power only at 4 ohms?
(You said the MTX site said 250 RMS but another site said 150-600. The MTX site is correct, but so is the other. 150 is the least amount of power recommended, 600 is the sub's max power.--my guess)
