Tuesday, January 11, 2011 - 01:10 GMT So, I am building a new sub box. I am doing 34W, 17H, and I am debating between 16 & 18 inches deep. Which would be better, 16 or 18 inches deep? I have an incriminator audio LI 15 off around 800 watts. Final tuning WILL be 32~ hz. Thanks for the help! Quick response would be great, I plan on starting tomorrow.

Tuesday, January 11, 2011 - 17:46 GMT It is? It has a net volume of 3.23cft, and a gross volume of 4.5cft and is tuned to 32 hz at 17inches deep.

Wednesday, January 12, 2011 - 03:24 GMT How big is your port opening? 3.23's not that small. I consider 3.5-4cf a "standard" box for daily systems.

Thursday, January 13, 2011 - 22:45 GMT depends on the sub but 3.5-4.5cf is the norm. my atlas 15 was in a 3.3cf box before port an sub displacement and it was perfect but my shocker sig i have now would need a 4.5-5cf box minimum for a 15. all depends on the sub.

Monday, January 17, 2011 - 04:56 GMT more space = lower louder bass. Go bigger. The bigger the better. that's the way the cookie crumbles that's the way the ball bounces build it nice or build it twice that is all
