I just installed a kenwood setup for 2 10" subs and a 1000w/300rms amp in my POS saturn, since then, i've been getting very chunky acceleration, its slow getting up to speed, idk how to explain it really, but im sure this is a normal problem for most new people. can anyone point me in the right direction?
Never heard of such a thing. i know people who have tapped their remote wire into something they shoudln't have. ie air conditioner wire. i cant imagine that the stereo is doing it. the only thing it could be i can think of, is your battery not being charged up by the alt. i would think about ant car could run 300 watts on stock electrical. alt may be going out and the battery doesn't have enough charge to keep everything running. your voltage could be dropping really bad. my 2 cents worth.
I agree with Pike. Check your alternator and battery. You should be able to go to any nationwide auto parts store (AutoZone, Advanced Auto Parts, etc.) and get those checked.
Sorry I posted this before i got under my car, it happened to be my catalytic converter, it was just totally shot and clogging my exhaust pipe, it has all been taken care of, but thank you both for the help. I have a feeling this wont be the only post on this website.
at least its fixed. its a good site. for the most part guys are really helpful. ca.com and caco have a lot of people that just want to call out people and try to tell them their equipment sucks. welcome aboard.
I'd complain like that was an insult towards my poor saturn, but its a 93 sl1. I wont defend it for anymore than the sound it produces, in all honesty.
Dodge is the bomb. Chevy couldn't make a super car within the realm of the viper or, dare I say, even the ford GT. The closest they come is the corvette ZR-1 which is sweet, but not like the viper. GM has bad management and economic over-shooting tendencies.
ehhh as a whole id rate em ford>gm>chylser. but its all personall preference. ive had dodge cars/trucks that suck azz an ive known people who had gm or ford and they were pos cars all just depends i guess.
