New member Username: DjgappaPost Number: 3 Registered: Dec-10 | no the 350$ is for all of it. *amp - subs* |

Silver Member Username: Lord_huggingtonOntario Canada Post Number: 192 Registered: Oct-10 | If you're looking for 250W RMS than FORGET Infackity, look at SoundSolutions Audio DCON 300W RMS. |

Silver Member Username: Lord_huggingtonOntario Canada Post Number: 193 Registered: Oct-10 | Those subs may be 1000W peak but they're 250W RMS. Read the ad lol. Two 8's have 100.48" of cone area, 2 10's have 157". If you have $125, and a 2.25 cube ported box, a DCON 12" would be better than two 8's - more cone area, better SQ, far better quality, more xmax (13 vs 16), it's better everywhere. In a lot of vids people are using 400W, and that 1100W will be about .8 efficient so it makes maybe 880W. 440W is pretty safe for a DCON, and unless each 8" is 86.1 dB efficient (it's not - it's more like 80 dB), it's not going to be any louder. This means one DCON is around +6 dB over two reference 8's, and the two Infinity's would need (if the DCON was on 300W) 1200W to get as loud. I would put the DCONs efficiency up against the new Type-R's too. The Fi SSD's should be cheaper and better than Type-R's. They're $180 for a 12. If you want a DCON but can't afford one, the Fi X is a different sub all together but still similiar at 300W RMS, same xmax, $65/$75 10's & 12's, 2 10's for $120 or 2 12's for $140, 4 12's for $260. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yjQNhPTGGlc |

New member Username: ZapperjakePost Number: 1 Registered: Jan-11 | Here you go, I measured mine at 97volts peak, 68v RMS into 4 ohms (1175W RMS!!) class AB well controlled bass and sounds so sweet I ran the one I used to set a DB Drag World Record on my components and it was as open and pure as my old skool Soundstream CA 6.0. -The guy who designed it, Russ, patterned it after the Threshold S500 - look up that big boy. I also had the smaller ZR600 which easily outperformed the JL500/1 while only using ONE CHANNEL on the ZR600. He promptly returned his brand new JL 500/1. It's an 'Angry' amp! http://cgi.ebay.com/KICKER-ZR1000-1000-w-2-CH-CAR-SUB-AMP-AMPLIFIER-OLD-SCH-/260 717624303?pt=Car_Amplifiers&hash=item3cb3fb3bef And, NO, that's not mine at auction, I just searched it out for you. They usually close around ~$200-$250 It will make any 'decent' woofer you put behind it sound awesome. |
