I found a good deal on a 10w7 sub with the box included and i have a 1200.1bp jbl amp it puts out more than 1200w @ 1 ohm but the sub is rated at 3 ohms and handles 500 rms, is the amp going to work?

yeah, the amp should work, but you are going to have to keep the gains down on it. JL's warranty doesnt cover burnt voice coils.
