I'm getting a sub soon, and was looking at amps, was wondering if the Jl Audio Dx 600/1 is good? Because I heard that Jl stuff is pretty good, but couldn't find any reviews on the Dx 600/1. I like power of them and the price is good too. I also liked their multi channel amps as well.
If there is another 500 to 600 watt mono amp out there for around 300, that is better I'm open to all suggestions.
If the sub is a dual 2 ohm sub, you can wire it in series to 4 ohm. Running at 4 ohm will be the most efficient and give you the greatest SQ control over the sub. As far as in your price range, you could check out an AQ1200D at Audioque.com. The amp goes for $249 shipped and will do 510 rms at a 4 ohm load. Also just as important is going to be your enclosure. The enclosure will also effect how the sub will sound and perform.
