I had to remove the radio in my Astra to fix a connection. The plugs are on the cage and not on the radio, so as soon as I pulled it, it disconnected. I think Vauxhall do it on purpose. So I now need the code. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.

Radio code not available through serial number.
Main dealer or radio-decoding service for this one.

You're correct there is a Philips/VDO database being used by forum members providing free codes, BUT your radio is too new. for this DB. The 'free' DB only covers up to GM0400X....

You will find commercial online decoding services, which have a newer databse. However, I would not use these services because the code provided can not be 100% reliable based on serial number. (in cases where code has been changed on radio before)

My recommendation, would be to visit a local radio decoder who will extract the 100% correct code from the eeprom chip using equipment.... a 5min while you wait job.

I've had customers who have complained that vauxhall have provided a radio code from VIN, which has been wrong, and has not been refunded. (radio changed during the life of the car)

Hope info helps...but seriously, not for free on internet.
