the only CLARION code available for free (using a serial number ) from anywhere on the Internet is if your radio also has a BARCODE SERIAL NUMBER beginning with C 7000000 + + + + on a label somewhere on the metal casing.
If not then it will only be available from your Main Dealer or a Decoding Service or your local Car Radio / Audio Store who will connect a laptop to read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM) inside your radio
Hi - many tnx for this - but I turned the radio on and it's showing '4 error' and I can't seem to resolve it. I've tried taking the power lead out the back to reboot it but made no difference. None of the buttons are working on it either.
Please note that code entry is only possible when the display says " CODE IN ". If "ERROR" is shown on the display, then the stereo is codelocked. If this is the case, leave it switched on for up to two hours or more and a further attempt at code entry should be possible.
