Wednesday, October 06, 2010 - 14:09 GMT Dear friend of OP, WHY THE HELL ARE YOU RUNNING YOUR DD9515 IN A SEALED BOX? AND WHO THE HELL TOLD YOU TO PUT THAT DD SUB IN A SEALED BOX? YOU ARE WASTING THE POTENTIAL OF THAT SUB. BUILD OR BUY A CUSTOM PORTED BOX. DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT RUNNING IT SEALED OR IN A CRAP PREBUILD PORTED BOX. .... ... .. . there killa, i fixed it.

Wednesday, October 06, 2010 - 17:31 GMT ^x2 You could also give it atleast 2x the power it is getting currently. DD subs are ridiculously underrated.

Wednesday, October 06, 2010 - 19:02 GMT Ported would be the way to go for any SPL application. And thats even MORE true with a DD sub... they are designed to perform well in a certain box... there is a reason DD does not recommend sealed for any application.

Thursday, November 04, 2010 - 23:03 GMT ^ Simple, DD drivers are designed to have less xmax and more motor-force, for use in a ported box. Efficiency vs. displacement.

Thursday, November 04, 2010 - 23:46 GMT he'll gain 3 to 5 decibels by going to a ported box, and it'd be of great benefit to have an electrical system that can support that amplifier too, before he fries the sub from clipping the amplifier.
