I typically put a fuse in the large power line off the battery rated for the current capacity of the wire itself (this is simply to prevent a car fire in case of a dead short if the insulation is compromised) then use a fused distribution block with a separate fuse for each amplifier, rated at the current draw, at the given load, for each amp on the dist. block. |
