Hello there gold!! Every one else really tries to help. I see you have a pattern of just sending people to the dealer and service. I believe most people would use your advise as a last resort. Can you please be of more help, otherwise, don't be if you are going to be any.
THank you.

Do you really think I tell lies and send people to the dealer or a decoder because these codes are really available somewhere else for free?

You have to face the facts.

AUDI do not make radios ; they affix their badge onto many different makes . Yours for example is made by MATSUSHITA (Panasonic )

I supply many free codes on this forum that can be calculated or looked up for free BUT the reality is that most of of the VAG group codes (including AUDI , V W , SKODA etc) are just NOT available for free from anywhere on the Internet. ....(( the very few Audi or V W codes that are available for free are a few older radios made by Grundig + Philips...and these are very few)

The majority have to be looked up on the original factory database which is NOT commercially available.

(This also applies to many SIEMENS/VDO/DELCO , HONDA , ACURA, JAGUAR , most CLARION , post year 2000 PHILIPS & GRUNDIG , ROVER , MG , many BMW, PIONEER, KENWOOD , JVC , many PANASONIC , FORD V SERIAL , SONY , VOLVO , SAAB and lots of other makes .)

Try proving me wrong !.....Try asking anywhere on the Internet and you will soon discover that what I say is true.

None of the above codes will be AVAILABLE FOR FREE from any of the forums

So it has to be the Main Dealer or Radio Decoding Service only for most AUDI...including your radio made by MATSUSHITA (Panasonic) .

If you want a free radio code , then buy a Ford , Becker , Renault or Blaupunkt and I`ll send you your code by return!

Buy a prestige make like AUDI and you will not be so lucky !

Some things in life are free....the rest you have to pay for !

ps...It will be interesting to see if someone else answers your question on this forum just to prove me wrong !

Good luck .

Reg Rooster. I want to apologize to you. I was not familiar with this forum, nor I knew the amount of advise, and help that you had given to many of us who have come looking for it. I saw many other posts, and your name it's always there giving help. In no way shape or form I believe that you tell lies. You presented the facts that I have too late realized after I wrote that stupid message. I was frustrated. Again sir, I apologize. Thank you for everything you do to help us out.

No problem...apology accepted.

The good news in the broader sense for Audi owners is that AUDI have chosen makes of radio that use a very secure system meaning that their radios without a code are worth next to nothing....and this makes your radio less tempting to car radio thieves.
