Platinum Member Username: Nd4spd18Philadelphia, PA Post Number: 11332 Registered: Jul-06 | It actually produces the power it claims... unlike the hifonics Build quality is a ton better Read this https://www.ecoustics.com/electronics/forum/car-audio/542894.html |

Silver Member Username: JbpittPittsburgh, Pa. Usa Post Number: 753 Registered: Jul-09 | Yea,they are a little more expensive. Maybe you can try an find a used one somewhere? Imo though, for the money the aq2200 is a steal. |

Bronze Member Username: ItatumPost Number: 64 Registered: Jan-10 | i have an AQ 2200D an it hits harrrrrd. I talked to AQ and they told me that even if the clipping light is flashing its ok. But if is solid red, thats not good. |
Bronze Member Username: NevertoomuchbassVirginia Beach, VA Post Number: 46 Registered: Aug-10 | yeaa im gunna go with the aq2200. it seems like a good solid amp and the price is reasonable |
Bronze Member Username: JaymoungMichigan Post Number: 64 Registered: Dec-09 | never had any aq amps but i hear nuthin but good thing say about hifonics i have this amp and its pretty good went from a alpine 1000 d and the bass was much cleaner here a review on this amp from a customer I heard some mixed reviews that this amp is overrated. So I took it to a local shop to be tested. At 14.4 volts it was on the money. He dropped it to 13.8 volts & at 4 ohms 634 watts rms, at 2 ohms 1242 watts rms, and at 1 ohm 1896 watts rms. Not bad for a $275 dollar amp. It does its rated at 14.4 which is where they test them. like i said i cant give my 2 cent on the aq amp cause ive never had 1 might be buying the aq 1200d or ill just keep my hifonics ive never ranned into any problems with my amp or anything so id def say the bxi2010 is a good amp but the aq might be a better amp as far as performance i say if money really is a problem get the hifonics but if u can afford the aq def get it |
Platinum Member Username: GlasswolfPost Number: 14179 Registered: Dec-03 | the problem with hifonics is that they like to make amplifiers with unregulated power supplies, then rate the output at 16VDC to give inflated power specs. an amplifier that puts out 1000 watts @ 12 volts, would put out 1333 watts @ 16 volts. You can see how this could get misleading. |

Silver Member Username: Nevertoomuchbass2 Fi Q 12s, Mmats 3000.1 Post Number: 220 Registered: Aug-10 | yeah man i did have a budget. I was gunna get my box made by dustin so i was gunna get the aq2200d or an orion 5000d to save some money for the box, but when i found that mmats 3000.1 for $450 there was no way i could pass that up. its hardly been used and i know it runs retail for over a grand. so i built a small sealed box as a temporary fix. im so glad i got that amp |
