This has been bugging me for a while now and have seen some very helpful threads for other systems on here so maybe someone can help.
I have a Clifford Concept 300 which was fitted to my old car and worked perfectly. It was wired in a bit of a mess. I removed it to fit into another car but I cannot get it working! It blows a fuse every time.
I have the wiring diagram pdf which shows the 9 pin plug and what each pin should be. I have tried simply wiring up both positives and negatives and nothing else and the fuse still blows.
I'm wondering if whover originally fitted it swapped some of the pins in the plug around?!
I'm ok at electrical stuff but I do not know how I can identify the correct wires / pins on this alarm.
It may be that it is just dead but as mentioned, it worked before removal.
Ideally I would be able to locate a pinout from the main pcb. I saw someone had done this for another unit so it is worth a go.
Any advice on how to check which wire is which assuming the plug pins have been moved?
Don't worry. I have worked it out using a multimeter, a bit of common sense and a bit of guesswork!. A + and a - had been swapped for some unknown reason. Maybe added security?!
