Wednesday, July 07, 2010 - 02:18 GMT Still need to make a new box. I figure the AQ 2200 will handle the .87 ohm load with box rise ect.. btw, The subs are 3-JL 13w6v2's.

Thursday, July 08, 2010 - 13:40 GMT Nice Marc... You should be fine at that ohm load as long as you don't get silly with it. I've never used the AQ amps but they seem to be pretty solid. What kind of box are you looking at?

Friday, July 09, 2010 - 03:08 GMT Thanks, Not sure of the box design yet..Something ported anyway, about 8-9 cubes tuned around 34 or so... May do something like this with dual kerfed ports on the corners that match the sub cut out size.

Friday, July 09, 2010 - 03:34 GMT the AQ is ~80% the build quality of sundown, so it should still be able to eat a .677+ for daily. (may be wrong.) just don't puss out on electrical. would you be willing to give me the new system spec's? i am very curious.

Friday, July 09, 2010 - 13:57 GMT Eh... Don't know if I like the dual kerfed port idea. If you bent the entire port length on one side and had it boxed off on the other it would have awful port noise. Like this... If I designed it wrong let me know... but that it the only way it will look like a sub or speaker.
