My gfs battery died and now she needs a code. I opened the glove compartment and the code in there is: M97A179188 If you could please help me out I'd really appreciate it. Msg me here or email me at c.a.glick.86@gmail.com
============================================= If you CANNOT find a code written on the radio or on a card in the glovebox (or similar "hidden" place ) then please read on
Please note:
The majority of HONDA codes are NOT readily available as access is required to the original factory database which is not commercially available to buy
HONDA radios are made by the following manufacturers
The only Honda radio codes that are available to be calculated for free from anywhere on the Internet will be radios made by
BLAUPUNKT. These will have a Serial Number beginning with BP and another number beginning with 7 *** *** *** found on a label on the radio casing
UNFORTUNATELY ... NO OTHERS !
So you will be wasting your time posting code requests here for any other make.
BLAUPUNKTS ONLY with a BP Serial Number
=================================================
For EVERY other HONDA radio made by one of the other manufacturers then visit the website below
https://radio-navicode.honda.com
If they cannot provide your code then you will have to try your HONDA Main Dealer or a Decode Service who will plug it into a laptop and electronically read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM)
As a general rule , it really does pay to look through / lurk on any forum before posting any question as it can certainly save wasting everyone`s time !
In this particular case , this is the regularly posted (nearly every day !) , standard HONDA explanation ..but folk still keep posting their Honda Code requests. !
Well seeing how I just found this site via google while riding with my gf to a volleyball game on my iPhone, i didn't really have the time (or Internet speed lol) to search. A simple reply would be great and that's what I would have done. I think you so much for the website, it helps a lot.
