Friday, June 25, 2010 - 21:21 GMT I hooked up an amp I got for free (that sat for a while). did not work. It was my first shot at hooking up an amp so I may have done something incorrectly. I connected the B+ to the battery + , the GND to the chaise if the car. and connected one 10" sub to the speaker out on the amp. I reconnected the - terminal and started the car. Got nothing.

Monday, June 28, 2010 - 14:28 GMT you need to connect the remote wire to a wire that only gets power when the ignition is switched to an on position

Tuesday, June 29, 2010 - 00:07 GMT If he is just testing to see if the amp works, could he not just connect the remote wire to the positive on his battery?

Tuesday, June 29, 2010 - 02:06 GMT ^Exactly. Just connect the (+) to the remote terminal on the amp and you'll know.
