45-50w RMS to a 100w RMS 6 1/2

Will it sound like crap if you run 50w rms to a polk component which is 100w rms? Do you benefit from it more when you run exactly the 100w opposed to 75, 65, 60, 50, etc. ?

Your not going to hurt the speaker or anything running less power to it than its rated to handle. Underpowering your speakers a little bit, and having the gain set correctly on your amps, will keep them happy. Running more or less power to a set of speakers is going to effect how loud they'll be able to get. Of course more power means more potential.
