There really isnt going to be an inexpensive amp that is going to do that. The sub can be wired to run at 0.75 ohms, but I think you'd be better off running it at 3 ohms. |
Bronze Member Username: Vincent_lawCa Post Number: 27 Registered: Apr-08 | i want around 1000 to 1500 watts at 1.5 ohm... my budget.. well i 250 to 350 max. can it be done you know with amazon or ebay? |

Yes the aq will take a .75 ohm load with a good electrical to back it up. Also those alpine pdx ams do 1000watts from 1-4 ohms like the JL amps. There are a few others as well, but for budget, the AQ is the best bet imo. |

Through the past couple years i have seem many of them sell for around 350 bucks. Sometimes more sometimes less. You could even try ebay. I think the jl 1000/1 would be ideal though. |
Silver Member Username: CwruckPost Number: 163 Registered: Feb-10 | i would look at the jbl gto14001. harmon audio sells them on ebay and i see them go for 160 sometimes 1200 rms at 4 ohms 1500 at 2 so maybe 1300 or so at 3 ohms?? but has a max current draw of 140 amps at 2 ohms.. |
Gold Member Username: JoebruceTC Sounds/DLS Post Number: 3021 Registered: May-04 | I had the same problem finding an amp for my TC 4000 (single 3ohm) I needed 800-1500wrms at 3ohms. I finally got tired of looking and didnt want to pay out the a*s so I just got this http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_7708_JBL+BPX500.1.html I would guess Im getting around 700wrms at 3ohms but Im not sure. It powers my sub great tho. And I only paid like $120 for it You could check this out http://cgi.ebay.com/JBL-Amplifier-Car-subwoofer-sub-amp-GTO14001-Gto-14001-/2506 38811608?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Car_Amplifiers&hash=item3a5b3cc1d8 Or you could always get a 2ch amp like this http://www.woofersetc.com/p128/GT28--Boston-Acoustics-2-Ch-1000-Watt-Amplifier.h tm |

They are said to do 1300+ watts @ 1 ohm, and will do even more @ 0.75 ohm. |
