I have 3 12" pioneer subs. 2 have 150 rms and the other has 250 rms. I know I need a 1 ohm stable amp but how many watts do I need?

They are all in one box and the guy at the shop I went to said that they have a 1.6 ohm rating all together. 2 of them are pioneer ts-w301r subs and the other is a pioneer ts-w303r sub.

I personally wouldn't run 2 different series of woofers but if you really want to, an amp that is around 500x1 @ 1 ohm should do you just fine in my opinion.

Someone please correct me if im wrong... but you cant wire 3 4ohm SVC subs to 1.6 ohms. Im assuming he has the 2 150RMS subs in series and then those 2 in parallel with the 250RMS sub. that would be a 2.66ohm final load not 1.6ohm. Ask "the guy at the shop" to redo the math.

judging by the speakers in this setup, you dont plan on spending a ****ton of money on an amp amirite? You probably wont find a 500watt mono amp stable to 1 ohm unless ur spending $200~250.

Assuming I am right about the final speaker impedance being 2.66 not 1.6 then I would go for something that is 500-650ish RMS @ a 2ohm load.

This amp would do the trick imo, and you would maintain your pioneer theme.
