New member Username: Espnfan41Post Number: 3 Registered: May-10 | They are all in one box and the guy at the shop I went to said that they have a 1.6 ohm rating all together. 2 of them are pioneer ts-w301r subs and the other is a pioneer ts-w303r sub. |

Bronze Member Username: AlonzoubPost Number: 41 Registered: Apr-10 | Someone please correct me if im wrong... but you cant wire 3 4ohm SVC subs to 1.6 ohms. Im assuming he has the 2 150RMS subs in series and then those 2 in parallel with the 250RMS sub. that would be a 2.66ohm final load not 1.6ohm. Ask "the guy at the shop" to redo the math. judging by the speakers in this setup, you dont plan on spending a ****ton of money on an amp amirite? You probably wont find a 500watt mono amp stable to 1 ohm unless ur spending $200~250. Assuming I am right about the final speaker impedance being 2.66 not 1.6 then I would go for something that is 500-650ish RMS @ a 2ohm load. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_22154_Pioneer+GM-D8500M.html This amp would do the trick imo, and you would maintain your pioneer theme. |
