Hi there,

So I have focal 6.5" Coax's for my fronts (amp'd) and have a subwoofer in the back (SUV)... so for the rear doors, I just want to put a good pair of 6.5" for fill, but they must run off my JVC head unit (4x22 I think)... .so I'm trying to 'squeeze' as much performance from that rear speaker as possible.... any thoughts on which 6.5" speaker has the most bass while still be efficient enough to run from the head unit? Thanks.

firstly, you won't get ANY midbass from a head unit that's putting out a peak of 22 wattsRMS (so closer to 5 watts RMS during reasonable undistorted volumes) You just don't have the juice needed to control the cone and make it excurt enough for appreciable output.
Secondly, putting speakers in the rear doors is going to destroy your front imaging and draw your soundstage too far to the rear.

The only way to successfully do this is to use a 4 channel amp (2 front, 2 rear) and bridge the rear channels. Next, get a pair of 4 ohm midrange drivers in your size (no tweeter, no whizzer cone) and wire them in series. This will allow you to run the rears in mono, but with enough power to make them work the way they should. Here's some info on the reasoning and process:

In short, any speakers you put in back, run from the head unit, are going to sound about the same. Even the best speakers in the world (ie, DLS, Rainbow, DynAudio, etc) are going to sound about the same as a pair of Pyle or Roadmaster speakers when driven from a head unit, and mostly blocked by things like seat backs and peoples' calves.
