Gerscoot your code how to enter below. i063 = 1910 L063 = 3911 IF YOU DONT HAVE KEY THEN PUSH THUMBWHEEL IN AND SOME HAVE {A} KEY
Turn on the radio and the display will show 'CODE' Use the steering controls for code entry. Press the [ ] button then rotate the thumb wheel for the correct first digit Press the [ ] button then rotate the thumb wheel for the correct second digit Press the [ ] button then rotate the thumb wheel for the correct third digit Press the [ ] button then rotate the thumb wheel for the correct fourth digit If the correct code is now shown on screen, press and hold the [ ] button for up to 10 seconds to store the code
FOR NO STEERING CONTROL press the first preset button for the 1st digit, second button for the 2nd digit third button for 3rd digit forth button for 4th digit then press buttons 6 OR 5 to store. for 10 seconds
note the radio does not lockout after a wrong code entry it only doubles the time to wait before the next retry...if a wrong code is entered it will display error then after the delay should display "0000")
cannot get the 0000 to show just the word code, does it matter if you turn clockwise or not, all it does is beep when you press[ ] button or iam i doing it wrong?? cheers
Gerscoot Please note that code entry is only possible when a number is flashing in the seperate display. If the display continually shows "CODE" then the unit may be codelocked and will need to be left switched on up for up to two hours to reset before another code entry attempt is possible.
Yeah? Did you used to work in the car audio biz? It seems like you have a vast knowledge of the stuff as far as codes go. And just searching the internet for these people is a pretty charitable thing to do, I must admit. What motivates you to do it?
My brother owns his own crash repair centre.and on many occasions he calls because he has new hardware/software for reading EMU's things like launch and so on and i takecare of all the computer related stuff. that was near 10years ago. now i just like to help if i can. as times goes by i seam to pick up more info as i go. and its a good feeling when people say thank you. for helping them.
Well you are a pretty amazing person for offering this service on the board. Back when I joined in ~2005 nobody answered the stereo 'code' posts and they were largely seen as a nuisance (I still think the Admin should split the headunit section into 'Codes' and 'Everything Else'), but overall I'm impressed since it really is a pretty thankless job. I've seen a good number of posts where you or someone else helped with a code and the person stopped responding when it seemed they got it fixed instead of saying thanks. Or maybe they just didn't check back. Who knows.
