ok i was given 2 type r 12s
i need some box building help and alot of it
im realy new to this and dont have a clue how to use those calculators

can some one do the math for me please

the biggest the box can be is 47inches long
19inches high
7.5 wide
im using 3/4 inch mdf board i would like it loud as possibe and still sound good
please help me

7.5in wide? With those dimensions it will be too small to be ported. You will have to build a sealed box. Build it to be about 2.3 cuft.

Anyone have a link to that one site where you can key in different measurements and it will spit out a box for you? I can't think of it. That'd be a good one for this type question.

Yes sir.

If you use the dimensions given and 3/4" mdf you will get about 4.15 cuft before sub and port displacement.

However i would advise using aero ports so that you keep as much internal volume as possible. Plus they look and sound great.

I would use 2 or 3 of these This is a link to to the aero ports
