Gold Member Username: ZacdavisBeloit, Wi Post Number: 1769 Registered: Dec-03 | "Type R's have a fs of 29 so they love the lows"????? How do you figure that? Just because a sub has a low free air resonance, doesnt mean it "loves the lows". The suspension, xmax, motor strength, and other factors are relative to a sub's ability to perform well at ultra low frequencies. Consider an 8" woofer with a Fs of 25hz :/ A sub with a Fs twice that of another can still be louder at sub frequencies. A stiff suspension can raise the Fs of a woofer, but that doesnt necessarily mean it impedes it's ability to play low's. |
