Hi I just got the Viper 5901 security system installed in my car. I lost one of my keys with the original car alarm. I didn't want someone to find them and get lucky by hitting the panic alarm and finding the car.
So I got the 5901 model installed and works great. The only program I have is that SST button thats on the antenna black box on windshield. Right now if the person with the key comes and opens and trys to start the car. The alarm will activate but if they see that blue led going off and just press that button once it disables alarm and car will start.
I was told in the past models you can just take the 2 blue wire plug of the viper box and will disable it. But the model I have I can't do that. It disables everything.
Tech support said only way would be to cut the 2 wires off the antenna box that are for the SST Switch.
I was wondering is there a different way? or maybe a diagram of that box so I can see witch 2 wires it is. Maybe I can just cut them someone where under the dash and if i ever lose my controller or something I can splice it back up to be able to disable alarm,
