ive had my sytem for about a month now and today teh stopped working i decided they werent getting any juice...because the is a light that is usually on my amp and that wasnt on....so i decided to go buy a new fuse my fuse said 100A and i couldnt find one of them so i got a 60 i put it in and turned my car on and my amp started to smoke i only had my car on for like 2 seconds....did i mess anything up???\
Im not sure why the amp started smoking but i dont think it had anything to do with the smaller size fuse you put in. I might be confused but as far as I know the 60 amp fuse should burn up long before the 100 amp fuse would, thus the 60 amp is safer.
Either way, the fuse isn't going to make the amp smoke. Take the amp wherever you got it from (or call tech support then mail it) and either get it repaired or replaced.
