Platinum Member Username: InsearchofbassYork, Pennsylvania Post Number: 13429 Registered: Jun-04 | the best i can suggest for that money is this 400 rms true watts http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/PHOENIX-GOLD-XENON-X400-1-CAR-AUDIO-AMP-AMPLIFIER _W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem48391db83aQQitemZ310195894330QQptZCarQ5fAudioQ5fVide o |

New member Username: Andy614Post Number: 8 Registered: Feb-10 | is a dual 600 watt amp any good? because i have dual everything (cd player, subs) |
Platinum Member Username: InsearchofbassYork, Pennsylvania Post Number: 13436 Registered: Jun-04 | no the amp I suggested is much better |
New member Username: Andy614Post Number: 10 Registered: Feb-10 | it only said 400 watts though... |
Platinum Member Username: InsearchofbassYork, Pennsylvania Post Number: 13452 Registered: Jun-04 | theres a big difference between true rms power and max power ratings...I own this amp im suggesting to you its a very nice amp for 120 dollars shipped please dont buy some junk instead |

Gold Member Username: Mrskullz1New York Post Number: 1416 Registered: Feb-07 | ur a fool if you buy dual! hahaha no seriously....they really are crap. Plenty of professional advice on this forum. |
Platinum Member Username: James1115Use a simple... Post Number: 10756 Registered: Dec-04 | Yeah listen to Sean! I don't want to put down the equipment you already have but you will come to learn that there is much better out there. You really need to learn the difference between rms(true) and max (bogus numbers) power. I would look for less power like 800 watts but a good 800 watts. even 600 watts will move those subs. are they 4 ohms each? dual voicecoil or no? |
Bronze Member Username: Andy614Post Number: 11 Registered: Feb-10 | well i love my CD player, its badass and my subs seem fine but this is my first system and i want it as loud as possible and im on a budget. but idk if theyre 4 ohm each or not. idk how to figure that out.. |
Platinum Member Username: InsearchofbassYork, Pennsylvania Post Number: 13457 Registered: Jun-04 | get the amp I suggested and you wont have to worry what ohm they are |
Bronze Member Username: Andy614Post Number: 14 Registered: Feb-10 | will it make my car noticably loud like across a parking lot or anything? |
Platinum Member Username: James1115Use a simple... Post Number: 10757 Registered: Dec-04 | that amp at 400 watts will make your subs louder then a 1000 watt dual amp anyday. As far as people hearing you, why??? keep your music in your own car! noone wants to hear your music. Chances are they have their own music playing and they would rather hear that then what you like. I am not being a d!ck just saying..... |
Bronze Member Username: Andy614Post Number: 15 Registered: Feb-10 | but im just asking because in the summer me and my friends go to a basketball court by my house and we like to listen to music. but we usually just pull a jeep up the curb and put it in the court with us, but i would much rather just be able to park in the lot since my car cant get over the curb.. |
Platinum Member Username: InsearchofbassYork, Pennsylvania Post Number: 13462 Registered: Jun-04 | the amp I suggested will make it loud enough |
Silver Member Username: SkdooleyRoanoke, VA Usa Post Number: 292 Registered: Oct-09 | How loud your subs will get depends on the amp pushing them, the enclosure they're in and the subs themselves. If you plan on parking your car and listening to music at loud levels you better either keep the car running or have a nice battery bank. Even then, you will still only have a given amount of time to run just off of those batteries. |
Bronze Member Username: Andy614Post Number: 16 Registered: Feb-10 | you guys have really helped me out like so much! is any other amps you guys would like for me to check out? i would love so more types to look for |
Platinum Member Username: InsearchofbassYork, Pennsylvania Post Number: 13473 Registered: Jun-04 | At 120 dollars limit the amp I sugested is best and I wouldnt go with more power than that on your dual subs |
Bronze Member Username: Andy614Post Number: 17 Registered: Feb-10 | i found this TIS amp. 1800 rms if i bridge it... good idea? |
Platinum Member Username: InsearchofbassYork, Pennsylvania Post Number: 13508 Registered: Jun-04 | never heard of tis so its probably cheap way over rated power...i told you I wouldnt go with more power than the amp i recommended on those dual subs....youll find out why the hard way if you dont listen....blown subs |
Bronze Member Username: Andy614Post Number: 18 Registered: Feb-10 | could i get the 1000 watt phoenix gold? |
Platinum Member Username: InsearchofbassYork, Pennsylvania Post Number: 13539 Registered: Jun-04 | the true power on the new phoenix gold stuff is really half of what its rated so 500 rms but make sure the ohm you need matches to the amp you want....if your subs a single 4 ohm and you have 2 subs you want a 2 ohm load at the amp to be your max power |
