Very few people use them everyday, because they are tuned for a center frequency, the only use they find is usually Pure SPL. Competitors tune Bandpass boxes to the resonant frequency of the car for the most cabin gain to hit the high numbers on the meter. There is a lot of difference from a ported box. Ported boxes retain good sound quality (not the best) since they are full range until you get below the tuning frequency of the box. Bandpass will sound like sh*t other than the tuning frequency, the response is extremely narrow.
