Monday, February 01, 2010 - 22:12 GMT well I have to make a choice to get a audiopipe 1500d or a recoil red 1000.1 I know the ap1500 will do just about the 1500 and the guy with the recoil says the 1000.1 did over 1800 at 14 volts I'm going to have a 200 amp alt and a 2200 shuriken in the back so is there any chance I could hold 14 volts with that setup

Tuesday, February 02, 2010 - 02:25 GMT it would take 150 amp to get 1500 watts true power so 105 is no where near 1500 even with efficiency losses

Tuesday, February 02, 2010 - 02:28 GMT best case senario that would put out 1200 watts with 20% losses and i doubt it does that...it would do 1058 at 30% losses

Tuesday, February 02, 2010 - 02:47 GMT a good alternator that does more at idle than what you need for the car and your system. If thats not possible you add a upgraded battery from kinetik or the like....the key is to have a good idle reserve

Tuesday, February 02, 2010 - 03:07 GMT Don't run a 16v kinetik on your 12v alternator. Hook it up, see what your voltage is like, and upgrade as needed. A nice alt with a spare battery should be all you'd need for 1000-1500w, but there are too many variables.
